Hundreds protest outside White House against war in Middle East
Hundreds of activists from the organization ANSWER Coalition took aim at the White House on Saturday in Washington D.C., protesting against war in the Middle East.

Activists raised a cruise missile model during the protest and laid flag-wrapped coffins on the ground, representing the victims of war in Syria, Iraq, Libya.

Protesters who said they were wary of another Middle East war, condemned U.S. President Barack Obama for his request to authorize military force against Islamic State.

"I am here to take a real stand against Bush regime's war on the Middle East as well as Obama's continuation on the war in the Middle East," said protester Ming Chan.

Obama has defended his authority to lead an international coalition against Islamic State since August 8 when U.S. fighter jets began attacking the jihadists in Iraq.
