Surgeons wrongly cut off the testicles of 70 patients
Citing medical sources, the Daily Mirror British daily reported that doctors in 70 cases allegedly cut off the wrong testicle or removed one that may have been saved with earlier intervention.         

The daily added that these mistakes compelled the British National Health Service (NHS) to pay compensations amounting to £1million over the past three years for blunders that led to men losing one or both testicles.           

According to the newspaper, the NHS made 40 payouts averaging £22,000 each to these patients.
