Erdogan to visit Arab Spring countries to mobilize cooperation

Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to start his Arab tour next Monday. He will visit Egypt, Tunisia and Libya to push for cooperation with the 3 “Arab Spring” countries in light of the crisis between Turkey and Israel.

Erdogan will arrive for a three day-visit to Cairo on Monday to discuss political coordination and economic ties with top Egyptian officials.

Erdogan is scheduled to meet with the head of Egypt's ruling military council, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi and Prime Minister Essam Sharaf as well as other officials and politicians. He will also make a speech during a ministerial meeting at the Arab League’s headquarters in Cairo where he will meet with its Secretary General Nabil Elaraby.

The Turkish prime minister and his delegation will visit Tunisia Wednesday to hold talks with the country’s leaders including Tunisian PM Beji Caid Sebsi.

Erdogan will end his tour in Libya where he arrives Thursday to discuss Turkey’s possible participation in Libya’s rebuilding process.
