Palestinian Liberation Organization calls on UN to hold meeting to discuss settlements
The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization sent out an invitation to the UN Security Council to hold an urgent meeting to discuss the escalation of settlements in the occupied territories of Palestine.               

The secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Yasser Abed Rabbo said that the meeting centers on  the issue of settlement and reconciliation in light of increasing settlement activity, confiscation of land and displacement of populations. This according to Abed Rabbo confirm the seriousness of the Israeli governments schemes to undermine the two-state solution and prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.
