Bahrain Ambassador to Iran resumes duty in office
Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, announced the resumption of duties of Bahrain's ambassador to Iran in Tehran after an absence stretching over a span of a year and a half.

Sheikh Khalid said that the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Islamic Republic of Iran has returned to his office in Tehran, similar to the Ambassadors of other countries, without specifying when and how.

Bahrain has recalled its ambassador from Tehran on March 15, 2011 to protest Iran’s criticism of the deployment of Saudi forces in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The forces were placed to contain the protests against the regime led by Shiites, who make up the majority in Bahrain.
