Qatari donation deepens the split wounds in Palestine
Qatar will be granting Gaza a 250 million dollar donation to start the reconstruction of the strip.        

In this context, Qatar launched a coordinating office in Gaza’s cabinet headquarters to supervise the disbursement of the donation.        

The donation was handed over to Hamas party without the coordination with Ramallah’s government. It is said that this step supports the project of establishing Gaza as an independent state and deepens the split wounds in Palestine.              

The reconstruction donations previously endorsed by the Arab League were frozen until Fatah and Hamas are reunited.

The Qatari humanitarian projects are considered to be the 1st step among Arab states’ initiatives since the war of 2008.
