Kuwaiti opposition warns of changing electoral system
Around 2,000 partisans of the Kuwaiti opposition rallied Monday evening at the Erada Square to protest against the decision to review the five-constituency electoral system and to call for political reforms and the formation of a productive government.

Earlier this month the government decided to refer the electoral law to the constitutional court amended in its current form in 2006, over suspicion of illegitimacy.

This move stops the disbanding of the pro-government parliament, reinstated in a court ruling on June 20 after its was dismissed in December, and holding fresh general election.

Elections held in February brought in an opposition-dominated chamber.
