A Chinese mother has taken some hair raising steps to make sure her quadruplet sons are more easily identified, Chinese state media reported.         

The six-year-old boys, named Jiang Yunlong, Jiang Yunxiao, Jiang Yunhan and Jiang Yunlin, look so alike even their mother Tan Chaoyun has trouble telling them apart.        

So she shaved the numbers 1 to 4 into the heads of the lively youngsters to represent the order of their birth.      

Even with their new haircuts teachers at their local primary school in south China's Shenzhen city still have trouble telling them apart and have devised a strategy of their own.

"Since the quadruplets are too similar in their looks, manners, smiles and voice, we cannot differentiate them, and thus we arranged them in four different classes," a school spokesman told CCTV.
