The Ministry of Interior Spokesperson in the Hamas Government mentioned that investigations and continuous communications with Egyptian authorities reveled that "Gaza has nothing to do with the bloody attack on the Egyptian border guards'."

The spokesman stated that opposing Egyptian media is trying in various ways to disseminate baseless details assuring that his government doesn't count on media based information.

Meanwhile, Egyptian security forces launched a military campaign to follow armed groups in the Sinai Peninsula in the wake of an attack on a checkpoint that took place on the fifth of August killing 16 Egyptian soldiers.

Sources revealed that Prime Minister of Hamas Government Ismail Haniya went to Cairo through the Rafah border.

In addition to this, an official in the government reported that Haniya has postponed his visit to Cairo to meet the Egyptian PM Hisham Kandil for the second time upon the request of Egyptian authorities.
