Vehicle used to smuggle arms confiscated near Homs
Al-Watan daily reported Monday that the vehicle that was stopped in Bab Amro region, near Homs, was rented by certain armed groups from a car rental shop in Homs.

It was reported that the car was carrying high-explosive materials, TNT and a large quantity of ammunitions.

A military source told the daily that the explosive carried by the vehicle hailed form Wadi Khaled in northern Lebanon, adding that the crates containing the explosives were sealed and it was written on their top “relief campaign for the displaced- the charity organization of Ishraq an-Nour in northern Lebanon.”

The daily pointed out that the arms shipment was a gift from a certain political movement, known for its hostility towards Syria, to the Syrian people in a bid to spark frenzy and destabilize security and safety.
