Libyan government formation postponed until liberation complete
Following consultations held in Benghazi during the last few days, the National Transitional Council (NTC) decided to postpone the re-formation of the government until “after the liberation”, an NTC member told AFP Tuesday, adding that it has been agreed to add one ministry for the martyrs and injured affairs.

One of the NTC commanders Mustafa bin Dardaf announced that the rebels took control the port of Sirte located east of the city and once considered as the stronghold of Gaddafi’s supporters.

“The clashes erupted Tuesday night and ended when the rebels took control of the port“, commander of the 700-strong Zintan Brigade deployed near Sirte said, adding that his troops are getting ready to move closer to the city’s center.
