Clinton urges Israelis and Palestinians to resume peace talks
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged the Israelis and Palestinians to resume peace talks and to avoid any provocative measures.

Asked about the paper submitted by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbad demanding a full membership of the UN for a Palestinian State, Clinton said: “The priority for the U.S. is for peace talks to resume in order to achieve tangible progress.”

“Regardless of what will happen or never will happen within the United Nations, if we fail to get the Palestinians and Israelis back on the negotiations table to discuss the state’s borders, the security issue and the destiny of Jerusalem and that of the refugees, we will be giving false hopes,” Clinton said.
