Saudi man shocked: I married the wrong girl

A Saudi man divorced his 26-year-old wife only twelve hours after the wedding ceremony when he uncovered a shocking deception: the “bride” had switched with her aunt.

The Saudi citizen asked the brother -and guardian- of the bride for the girl’s hand in marriage, under the condition that he gets a glimpse at his bride-to-be. The brother was compelled to agree and introduced him to his 19 year-old daughter, instead of presenting him to her aunt, the real bride.

Following the wedding ceremony, the husband took his wife to a nearby hotel in the city of Riyadh only to discover that she did not look anything like the girl he had a glimpse of before. Only then did he pressure her to admit the truth behind this nuptial shenanigan.
