Iran welcomes Gaddafi's death

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast welcomed Gaddafi's death on Friday, confirming that “there is no excuse for further NATO’s intervention in Libya.”

“Destruction is the inevitable fate of all dictators and oppressors who disrespect the rights of the people,” Mehmanparast said, adding that “the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes this great victory and congratulates the Muslim people and the Libyan National Transition.”
