Several dead, pilot rescued after Nepal plane crash

A passenger plane carrying 19 people crashed during takeoff in Kathmandu on Wednesday with "many" aboard dead but the pilot rescued, police in the Nepali capital told AFP.

"The pilot has been rescued and is being treated," police spokesman Dan Bahadur Karki told AFP. "Many have not survived."
