Blinken denounces repression in Georgia

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday slammed the repression of protesters in Georgia as mass pro-EU rallies in the country enter their second week.

"We support the right to peaceful protest and condemn the repression of those calling for their country to stay on the path to close ties to Europe, in particular the reported assaults and detention of journalists," Blinken said at an OSCE meeting in Malta.
