Prince William rescues boy who fell off railway bridge onto rocks

                        
A new TV documentary has been given rare access to Prince William at work.                             

The BBC's "Helicopter Rescue" is the first ever program to show the prince's working life in the Royal Air Force as a search and rescue pilot at RAF Valley on Anglesey.               

One of the rescues featured shows Flight Lieutenant Wales - as he's known in the force - and his crew on a mission to rescue a boy who had fallen off a railway bridge onto rocks in a local old slate quarry.                            
"I have a duty of care for the crew, for the casualty in many cases as well," says the Prince in the documentary.                 

The royal's future as a search and rescue pilot is uncertain after confirmation this week that a private US company is to take over the work of Britain's military search-and-rescue helicopter service.                              
His tour is due to end later this year, before the air force stops its search and rescue operations in 2016.           
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first child is due in July.                              

"Helicopter Rescue" will air in April in the UK on the BBC.
