Israeli officials re-arrest former prisoner

After releasing him on June 5, 2012 following a 76-day hunger strike in protest against Israeli prison condition, Palestinian sources announced on Wednesday that Israeli officials rearrested former prisoner Thaer Halahla.

The Palestinian sources said that Halahla was arrested in Ramallah, the West Bank.

As Israeli sources did not confirm the arrest, however the Palestinian Prisoner Club said that an Israeli court decided to extend the detention of Halahla for 12 days.
