Kremlin regrets end of nuclear weapons treaty with US

The Kremlin on Thursday said it regretted the end of the last treaty governing the nuclear arsenals of Russia and the United States and called it a negative step.

"We view it negatively. We express our regret in this regard," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters about the end of the New START treaty that restricts how many nuclear warheads the two sides can deploy.
