World Bank may mobilize up to $25 billion in urgent funding over Iran war fallout: Bloomberg

Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing Ajay Banga, that the World Bank could mobilize between $20 billion and $25 billion in emergency financing for countries affected by the economic fallout of the Iran war.

Banga told Bloomberg Television that if the conflict continues, the World Bank is seeking to secure additional funding ranging from $50 billion to $60 billion to provide further support.

Any World Bank assistance would be in addition to aid provided by the International Monetary Fund.
