Investigations into the Daraya explosion continue
Security sources told LBCI on Monday that Mohammad Al-Dakhakhni succumbed to his wounds in the wake of the Daraya blast that took place Sunday.

Sources added that preliminary investigations did not show any evidence linking the Daraya network with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Assir, while investigations continue with Sheikh Al-Dakhakni on suspicion of involvement in the explosion.

Meanwhile, State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr tasked the Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence Branch to carry out the preliminary investigations into the blast.

An Egyptian national identified as Abdul Latif Ahmad Al-Dakhakhni was killed on Sunday while his brother Mohammad and a Syrian national identified as Mohamad Hassan Masoud were severely injured whilst attempting to build a bomb inside their house in Daraya Sunday.

The victim and the injured were rushed to the Central hospital in Mazboud.

Security apparatuses alongside forensic experts arrived to the scene and launched an investigation in order to reveal the circumstances behind the incident.

In this regard, sources told LBCI that the Army Intelligence is following up on the investigation, adding that the Egyptian national Abdul Latif was wanted on several charges.
