Renowned Lebanese playwright and director, Raymond Gebara, passed away on Tuesday at the Bhannes hospital after a long battle with illness.
Gebara was one of the country’s most distinguished playwrights and directors in Lebanon and a critic of the situation in the country, his self-confessed source of inspiration.
As a professor of fine arts at the Lebanese University, Gebara worked with several actors who have since risen to the firmament of Lebanon’s stage and screen.
