How did the Safra carpet factory fire affect residents in surrounding areas today?
Despite the immensity of the fire which erupted Friday morning at the “Byblos Carpet Factory” located in Safra, the air flow direction aided in limiting the blaze from spreading.           

However this did not stop many concerned residents that live close by from evacuating their homes.               

Speaking to LBCI the residents said that they had fled their homes due to the thick, suffocating smoke that covered the area and entered their houses.
