Private, public schools to close Wednesday due to Alexa storm
        
Caretaker Education Minister Hassan Diab issued a circular on Tuesday whereby he called on private and public schools to close on Wednesday due to Alexa snowstorm which has started to hit Lebanon.         

"A heavy snowstorm is hitting Lebanon, causing a sharp decrease in temperatures," the circular said, adding that "the rising water level is expected to affect the traffic flow".               

"Private and public schools will close on Wednesday 11/12/2013 in order to avoid hazards and the storm's impact on the students and teachers at schools, mainly those located in mountainous areas," the circular added.
