The storm Alexa has receded on Sunday, as several roads across Lebanon opened for vehicles to pass, while other roads remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.

This as the Interior and Municipalities Ministry warned the citizens against the risks of slide due to the formation of ice on the mountainous roads.

Passable roads:

- Dahr al-Baydar passable for all vehicles

- Akroum – al-Roumiyeh passable for equipped vehicles and SUVs

- Zahle – Tarshish – Dhour al-Choueir open for all vehicles

- All the roads in the regions of Barouk, Nabeh al-Safa, Ain Zhelta, Batloun, Ain w Zain, Kfarnabrakh and Jbaa are passable for all vehicles

- Anadaqt – Akroum road passable for equipped vehicles

- Qobeiyat – Hermel road passable for equipped vehicles and SUVs

- Jezzine – Kfarhouna – Al-Sarira – al-Jormoq – Armata road passable for equipped vehicles

- All the roads past Ajaltoun roundabout are passable for all vehicles

- Roads across districts of Tyre and Bent Jbeil are passable, except for Maroun al-Ras road which is passable only for equipped vehicles

- Shebaa – Ain Ata road passable only for equipped vehicles

Closed roads:


Ainata – al-Arz, Hadath Baalabek – Ouyoun al-Siman, Ehmej – Laqlouq, Qobeiyat – Hermel, Maroun al-Ras – Yaroun and Hasbaya – Shebaa roads remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.

Falougha - Ain al-Soha, Kfarselwan - Tarshish, Ehmej - Laqlouq and Maaser al-Chouf - Kefraya roads remained closed.
