REPORT: Cautious calm in Tripoli, citizen killed by way of error

Cautious calm prevailed on Friday over the northern city of Tripoli after protesters had cut off roads on Thursday evening to express solidarity with the border region of Arsal in northeastern Lebanon. This as, the Lebanese Armed Forces deployed throughout the streets.

Earlier in the day, a personal dispute erupted at the vegetables market and escalated to an exchange of gunfire, leaving citizen Amer al-Samadi dead of wounds sustained by way of error during the clash.

Accordingly, relatives of al-Samadi opened fire and hit a vehicle belonging to the Internal Security Forces with three gunshots.
