Abi Ramia to LBCI: Sidon clashes aim at destroying military institution

Member of the Change and Reform bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia offered condolences to the military institution on Monday, noting that the tense situation in the country has come to an end. “All the Lebanese people expressed solidarity with the Lebanese Army,” he said.

In a statement to LBCI, Abi Ramia said that the clashes in Sidon aim at destroying the military situation, hoping that the “Nahr al-Bared scenario” would not be repeated.

MP Abi Ramia pointed out that “the supporters of Sheikh Ahmad Assir started a war against Lebanese parties, not a foreign enemy.”
