Head of Arab monitors to go to Syria on Saturday

Sudanese General Mohammed Ahmed Mustafa al-Dabi, who is leading the Arab League monitoring team, said on Saturday he would travel to Syria later in the day.    

Dabi was speaking to reporters at the League's Cairo headquarters after talks with League chief Nabil el-Araby. The first batch of about 50 monitors is expected to travel to Syria on Monday.
