Maliki says Iraq supports Arab League role

Iraqi PM Nour al-Maliki confirmed to Arab League Chief Nabil el-Araby during a phone conversation on Monday that his country supports the Arab League’s efforts in settling the Arab issues “within the Arab house.”

In turn, el-Araby voiced hope that Iraq will play a more effective role in the face of challenges sweeping the Arab region.
