Israeli army claims striking Hezbollah-linked cell in South Lebanon before it could carry out its plan

The Israeli army said its 91st Division tracked a Hezbollah-linked armed cell in southern Lebanon that was unloading weapons intended for use against Israeli forces.

Lieutenant Colonel Ella Waweya said in a post on X that the air force struck the group before any attack could be carried out.

The cell was reportedly unloading military equipment from a vehicle, including RPGs, targeting Israeli troops. Shortly after, Israeli forces acted quickly to neutralize the threat, she added.

Waweya said that soldiers from the 401st Brigade under the 91st Division tracked two individuals who had fired rockets toward Israeli positions in southern Lebanon.
