Daher: Ghosn embarrassed government before public opinion
Future Parliamentary bloc member deputy Khalid Daher told Radio Free Lebanon that Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn has embarrassed the government in front of the Arab and international public opinions when he falsely claimed that members of Al Qaeda have infiltrated from Lebanon to Syria.

"What took place at the Cabinet yesterday was suspicious. We did not even hear a word of condolences on the death of the three people in Wadi Khaled as if this region is not part of Lebanon," the MP said.

Commenting on the information provided by Ghosn on the presence of Al Qaeda members in Arsal, Daher wondered how the Defense Minister did came with his information.

He reminded that President of the Republic Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Interior Minister Marwan Charbel did not adopt Ghosn's accusations.

"If it is true that the army command is still investigating these claims then how did Ghosn make these accusations," the MP asked.

He was also surprised by the government's attitude over the Syrian aggressions in Lebanon, noting that over 40 Syrian breaches of Lebanese sovereignty took place.
