Funeral held for former PM Rashid al-Solh at Ouzai mosque

The Lebanese government held on Saturday a formal funeral service for former Prime Minister Rashid al-Solh at the Ouzai mosque in southern Beirut.

The funeral procession departed at 4:00 pm from the residence of the deceased in Ain El-Tineh-Beirut towards the Imam al-Ouzai shrine.

Earlier in the day, the Lebanese cabinet declared three days of official mourning over the death of al-Solh, stating that all public administrations, institutions and municipalities will be closed and modifications will be made on the daily programs of radio stations and TV channels.
