Sleiman signs decree for parliamentary session
President Michel Sleiman signed a decree on Saturday to launch an extraordinary parliamentary session, starting January 16 and ending March 19, 2012, to study the various bills before Parliament.        

He also discussed with the Secretary General of Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Nasri Khoury the bilateral cooperation in the agreements signed between the two countries, as well as the latest developments in Syria.        
Sleiman had also met in the morning with the new committee of the International Festival of Baalbek, chaired by Nayla De Freij.
