Why are Shouf residents staging sit-ins?

Shouf and Iqleem al-Kharroub villagers staged large sit-ins to protest frequent power-cuts afflicting their district.

They were joined by local P.S.P., Jamaa Islamiyaa officials and pro-Hariri MP Muhammad Hajjar.

Muhammad Habanjar a local municipal official urged quick solutions to an endemic problem while MP Hajjar accused Energy minister Basil of "passing on government-supported diesel oil to his followers.
