Jal el-Dib bridge permanently closed, to be dismantled next week
The Jal el-Dib Bridge was permanently closed on Wednesday to begin with the dismantling process.

The traffic was deviated to two recently-made lanes while the bridge will be dismantled during night hours.

The commander of the Jdeideh traffic unit, Charbel Nasr, told LBCI that parking outside adjacent stores will be prohibited to avoid any traffic jam, adding that “the ISF are fulfilling their duty round-the-clock.”

In turn, Engineer Elie Helou told LBCI that the bridge will be dismantled by next week to conduct further technical studies in this regard, adding that the dismantling process will take two weeks before the establishment of a new bridge.
