Jumblatt: If only Abadi would distance himself from the Syrian crisis
National Struggle Front Leader MP Walid Jumblatt stressed on Tuesday that the popular Arab uprisings sweeping several countries, topped by Syria, do not need lessons from anyone.

“The Arab Spring is an internal movement that stemmed from the consciousness of the Arab people and their desire to get rid of dictatorship, tyranny and injustice after decades of oppression and tyranny,” he said.

Responding to Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rukn Abadi’s remarks on the Syrian revolution, Jumblatt said “If he could only visit Bab Amro, Khalidyah and other Syrian cities and since he is known for his accuracy in searching for information, let him see with his own eyes the massacres that occurred.”

Jumbaltt added: “If only the Iranian ambassador would distance himself from the Syrian crisis, maybe he would thereby ease the sufferance of the Syrian people.”
