RPG fired in mourning strikes bedroom of four children in Baalbek
Gunmen fired small arms and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) near the northern entrance of Baalbek after hearing the news of former MP Ali Hamad Jaafar’s death. One of the RPG rounds fired in mourning managed to strike the house of Mahmoud Mohammad Dib, a resident in the nearby neighborhood of al-Solh. The RPG pierced the roof and exploded in the bedroom of his four children who were luckily at school.

Mohammad’s wife also survived as she was in a nearby room; the incident only caused material damages.
