REPORT: Judge Abou Ghida issues indictment in the Daher El-Baydar and Tayyouneh explosions
First Military Investigation Magistrate, Riad Abou Ghida issued on Tuesday an indictment against a terror group and its members Ahmad Abou Abbas and Sirajeddine Zureiqat on charges of involvement in the Daher El-Baydar and Tayyouneh explosions.

The indictment stated that the suicide bomber who drove the Nissan Murano vehicle to carry out the Dahr El-Baydar attack was a Syrian national born in 1992 and identified as Ahmad Fayez Haydar.

Meanwhile, arrestee Abou Abbas noted that he met in the mountainous region of Arsal with Zureiqat who is the alleged spokesman of the Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades, adding that the latter had encouraged him to carry out the attack and gave him an explosive laden vehicle.

It is worth noting that Abou Abbas was charged in December 2014 with taking part in a terrorist cell, as well as preparing and transferring booby-trapped cars from Syria to Lebanon to blow them up in residential areas.

He was also charged with plotting terrorist acts inside Lebanon.
