Hariri: Syrian regime on the verge of collapse

Former PM Saad Hariri warned of “the threats of war waged by the Syrian regime against the growing popular uprising across Syrian regions.”        

“The military campaign launched by the Syrian armed phalanges against restive towns constitutes a dangerous link of a bloody chain behind which stand international and regional axes that had agreed on granting President Bashar Assad the opportunity to attack his people and protect his political regime in all means of brutality,” Hariri said.      

In a statement issued by his media office, Hariri said that the Syrian people are facing a “black military machine” that does not appreciate human and moral values, adding that this matter confirms that the regime is on the verge of collapse.      

Hariri added that the Lebanese consider standing in solidarity with the Syrian people during their ordeal as a national duty and fraternal responsibility, voicing confidence that the Syrian people will come out victorious eventually, no matter the regime’s brutality.
