Saadeh to LBCI: Security forces must disarm Tripoli

Kataeb bloc MP Samer Saadeh told Nharkom Saiid TV show that he was not surprised by the events sweeping Tripoli, adding that he has warned against weapons proliferation in Tripoli before.

Saadeh stressed that Syria wants to stay away from the limelight this is why it is creating unrest in Tripoli, adding that Syria is arming Jabal Mohsen.

Saadeh said that Lebanon is close to a major explosion if security forces do not interfere to calm the situation in Tripoli, confiscate all weapons and control the city.

“Lebanon has the duty to commit to the decisions issued by the Arab League on Syria to spare the country the bloodbath it is currently living”, Saadeh said.
