Bellemare bids Lebanese people farewell

Prosecutor of the STL, Daniel Bellemare, said that the fight against impunity would be a long and difficult journey, adding that the Lebanese people deserve no less.

In a statement he made to bid farewell to the Lebanese as he approached the end of his tenure as Prosecutor of the STL, Bellemare stressed that the legitimate desire for justice and accountability is now gaining greater momentum.

“Today our fight against impunity is shared even more broadly”, he added.
