• Lebanon, the safest country in the Middle East

According to As-Safir newspaper an American diplomatic report was issued lately by reliable investment companies saying that Lebanon will be the safest country in the Middle East for investments in the coming five years.

The report added that financial institutions and international investment companies came to that conclusion amid the ongoing uprisings in several Arab countries, adding that even the Gulf area is not stable anymore and does not attract foreign investors.    

• Gemayel: We should all come together

According to An-Nahar newspaper the head of the Kataeb Party Amin Gemayel commented on the suggested parliamentary and ministerial committee during the last parliament session saying that all parties should come together to find a common ground between them in order to draw solution for most of the pending issues.

“The is the only way Lebanon will face all external threats amid the current situation in the region; all efforts are being invested in order to reach a consensus in the coming days”, An-Nahar quoted Gemayel as saying.

“We are all trying to find a way out of the current political crisis especially regarding public budgeting related issues and the $11 million spent outside the budget”.

• Murr ready to cooperate with Aoun in the coming elections

Sources close to the Lebanese Armenian Tashnag Party told Al-Akhbar newspaper that MP Michel Murr’s statements after his meeting with Tashnag officials were spontaneous, adding that both parties met several times after 2009 parliamentary elections.

In 2009 elections most Tashnag members voted for Ghassan Rahbani and not to Michel Murr.

The sources added that this meeting was very important especially that it was covered by the media in order to break the ice between both parties and the head of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Michel Aoun.

“Mur said positive words about General Aoun and he is ready to cooperate again with Aoun in the next elections”, the sources told al-Akhbar.  

• Future Movement will rescue Syrian refugees

Sources close to the Future Movement told An-Nahar that the Movement will start organizing gathering events in Akkar and Tripoli to rescue Syrian refugees and provide them with humanitarian aid.

The sources added that several religious figures close to March 14 coalition will be backing these movements.
