Hezbollah’s Nasrallah says MP Aoun’s allies have never abandoned him

The Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stated on Friday that late Grand Ayatollah Rouhullah Al-Khomeini set the Al-Quds International Day to remind the world that the Palestinian demands are righteous, pointing out that millions of people participate yearly in this event to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right of self-determination.

From the Sayyed Al-Shuhada Mosque Complex in Beirut’s southern suburbs, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that the Yemeni people sense that the Arab and Islamic world have abandoned them, stressing that the war against Yemen is the biggest service Saudi Arabia may offer to Israel.

In this regard, Nasrallah stated that the Saudi war against Yemen is no longer based upon political intentions; noting that it only aims at retaliating from the Yemeni people.

“Once Yemen becomes a sovereign, free, and independent state governed by the will of its people, it will become a major part of the axis of the resistance,” Nasrallah said, emphasizing that at this point Yemen would pose a strategic threat on Israel.

Nasrallah noted that Israel’s insolence has reached a stage where it dared to call for an Arab-Israeli cooperation to fight terrorism, noting that takfiri terrorism is the worst form of terrorism the region is facing.

“Israel is the root of terrorism, and Iran is the only nation that threatens it,” Nasrallah said.

In this context, Hezbollah’s Nasrallah said that Iran has been supporting the axis of the resistance despite 30 years of sanctions and threats of war.

“Israel’s objectives are all targeted against Iran.”

Regarding the situation in Syria, Nasrallah stated that the solution is political; however, stressed that certain countries are hindering this solution.

He stated that the scene in Syria has changed during the past few weeks, emphasizing that Syria will always stand steadfast.

“The road of Al-Quds does not cross through Lebanon’s Jounieh but it definitely passes through Syria’s Al-Qalamoun, Homs, and Al-Zabadani since the collapse of Syria will lead to the fall of Palestine and the Palestinian cause,” Nasrallah said.

As for the situation in Lebanon, Nasrallah stated that the demands of Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun are righteous, adding that it was obvious throughout the past weeks that Lebanon is heading towards a conflict.

“MP Aoun has righteous demands related to the cabinet and many other dossiers; however, the issue of federalism should be discussed.”

In this context, Nasrallah stated that the allies of MP Aoun have never abandoned him, but stated that nationwide protests are not for the benefit of Hezbollah.

Nasrallah also voiced his support to the convention of an extraordinary parliament session, reiterating the necessity of dialogue sessions between the Future Movement and the Free Patriotic Movement.
