Jumblatt: we'll not respond to vanquished "Shabiha"

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt said he would not respond to the demonstration set yesterday by "Shabiha" - pro-Syrian regime supporters -, explaining that their performance yesterday revealed their vanquished condition amidst the current developments in Syria.         

Jumblatt's fresh stance came on Monday in the context of his weekly statement to Al-Anbaa newspaper published by the Progressive Socialist Party.       

The deputy slammed the Syrian regime, accusing it of being biased to Israel under the forged expression of resistance and rejectionist front in face of the Zionist entity. To this effect, Jumblatt recalled the arrest of the national Palestinian symbol Yasser Arafat in 1966 that happened under the command of late Syrian President Hafez Assad, who was Syria's Interior Minister during that time.     

Jumblatt regretted the "genocide", as he termed, practiced by the regime against the people in Homs, calling upon the Lebanese authority to take care of the Syrians fleeing the regime's savage assault, as he put it.
