Berri: Lebanon’s rights are under attack

During Wednesday’s parliamentary meeting, Speaker Nabih Berri touched upon the results of his visit to Cyprus and the discussions on Lebanon’s oil rights and the Exclusive Economic Zone’s borders.

MPs quoted Berri as saying that currently Lebanon’s rights are being attacked, adding: “Whenever Lebanon’s rights are being assaulted, it is our duty to fight such an aggression and do everything in our power to prevent it without asking for anyone’s permission”.

Berri said that he sensed that Cypriot president and officials understood Lebanon’s stance regarding border demarcation of the Exclusive Economic Zone.
