REPORT: “We Want Accountability” campaign stages sit-in before Justice Palace

“We Want Accountability” activists carried out on Wednesday a sit-in outside the Justice Palace amid tight security measures.

The protesters chanted slogans and called for a meeting to be set with Acting General Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud, Financial Prosecutor Judge Ali Ibrahim and the Head of Beirut Bar Association George Jreij.

Later during the day, Judge Ali Ibrahim accepted to receive some activists while the campaign’s lawyer held a meeting with Jreij.
