Higher Relief Committee denies LBCI report on expired food

The Higher Relief Committee categorically denied the report aired on Friday on LBCI about the delivery of expired foods by certain organizations to displaced Syrians in Akkar and Wadi Khaled.

The committee and, in its press release today, accused Mahmoud Khaz'al of the Syrian Relief Body and north Lebanon-based clinics and hospitals of fabricating those lies.

The committee added that those hospitals were helping the Syrians at the expense of the Lebanese government. The committee announced its willingness to receive independent media representatives for further verification and that it honored all internationally-accepted norms and standards in distributing meat and milk canisters.

The committee duly beseeched all concerned local and international Medias not to be wary of false stories concocted by the Syrian High Relief, as it said.
