Kidnappers release an archimandrite in Terbol

The head of the Basilica Monk Order Archimandrite Jean Faraj was released today after he was abducted by four armed men on Tarel Highway.

According to security sources, the archimandrite was intercepted by four men wielding weapons, seized his Mercedes car and left him in the outskirts of Sareen town in Baalbek.

The kidnappers demanded $5,000 ransom for the return of the car.

Archimandrite Faraj informed the security forces about the incident.
