Kidnapped Syrian citizen freed by LAF

The Intelligence Directorate of the Lebanese Armed Forces freed Tuesday morning Syrian citizen Abdul Maaian Al Awam. 39 year-old Al Awam disappeared on Monday in the Bekaa after being intercepted by individuals who kidnapped him to unknown whereabouts.

According to a statement issued by the LAF, Intelligence services raided an area in Shuwayfat and arrested two Lebanese citizens Hussein Al Mekdad and Ahmad Jilwan and Palestinian Daoud Abdullah who had asked for a $75,000 ransom in return for the release of the detainee.
