Berro: Slaughterhouses are in a shabby state, butcher shops lack modernity
The Head of the Consumer Protection Association Dr. Zuheir Berro told Nharkom Said TV show that all slaughterhouses in Lebanon, except for one in Sidon, are in a shabby state. Berro stressed that meat is not being delivered in cooled vehicles, adding that pollution rates are very high.  

“Butcher shops are not equipped with modern tools”, Berro said, emphasizing the need to draft a unified law on food safety.
